Kansas uses a single board, the BSRB, for both social work and psychology. Kansas is a PSYPACT member (K.S.A. 74-5352, effective January 1, 2022). The board also issues temporary and community-based licenses that require supervision, and a nonrenewable 12-month provisional LMLP license (K.S.A. 74-5377). Both LMLP and LCP holders must consult the client’s primary care physician or psychiatrist when a client shows symptoms of a mental disorder, unless the client waives this in writing.
Requirements summarized from the board’s official pages. Confirm the current rules with the board before you choose a graduate program.
